Fireworks are more fun to view than to listen to. The local fireworks show is happening at this very moment. My little dog is frightened and I’m disenchanted by the noise. Many times I have enjoyed a colorful show of the sky explosions. This year, however, I decided to pass on the show.

I finished writing a new short story yesterday! Yes, that exclamation point is 100% appropriate! And so was the second one. Finishing a new fiction piece feels momentous to me because I haven’t written many new works of fiction the last few years. Whenever I pen the final line to a story I feel beyond wonderful. Of course I start sharing the work with friends immediately.

A few reviews are in and they are positive concerning my latest story. As of right now I’m going to pretend those annoying fireworks are written in the sky for me…
