We are watching and waiting. Anticipation. A bit like waiting for Christmas. Something good is going to happen. We know it in our bones. We feel it in our feet. Our eyes are brightened. Our hearts have the beat of a happy drum.
Today is a clear day. We can see to the horizon. We are mission-ready. The temperature is cooler. Our thinking is clear. Many of us are introverts. We get happy just like our extrovert family. Mylo is freshly groomed for the occasion. He has a new kerchief. School is ready to begin. Mylo is ready. As we search, we see good and evil. Convince the evil to be good. Mylo likes to hear that he is a good boy! All of us like to be told we are good. The silent cry of the forgotten is in our ears. The elite do not hear them. Left on the side of the superhighway, they watch the procession toward the light. We clasp their outstretched hands and lift them up. ‘Here is a cheeseburger and fries,’ We say with a smile. ‘Here are some Skechers Slip-Ons for your tired feet,’ we continue. ‘Join us as we walk toward the light,’ we proclaim.

The secret of the light is the success of others. ‘No one left behind, the Marines say. ‘We will not leave for the Light until all our human family is with us,’ the Preacher said. ‘God came for all of us,’ the Preacher continued. ‘All races, colors, faiths and lack thereof, God loves us all and wants us in the Light,’ the Preacher noted with passion. ‘Our bodies are made of dirt and water, which is commonly known as mud,’ the Preacher explained. ‘We are the Mud People that God loves,’ the Preacher wept.

The Paragon of Virtue stood tall in the temple. ‘Only I have the answer on travelling to the Light,’ the Paragon of Virtue said. ‘God talks to me, and I talk to you,’ PAV noted. ‘I am the chosen, I am the smartest, I am the best that God has,’ PAV concluded. ‘With me you succeed; without me you fail,’ PAV proclaimed. ‘I came down from my throne to save the common folk,’ PAV said.

Introverts listened and understood the Theatre before them. The answer to the path of Light was not in the boastings of a narcissist but in the humility of the beggar. The King comes in the robes of the beggar. No fanfare, no glory, no gold. The affect of the introvert, the loner, the friend of those who have none.

The light was overwhelming. Poor and rich followed it’s brillance. The forgotten sang for joy, the beggar danced in the marketplace, the weak felt strong; the hopeless had hope.
