Summer is fighting with fall for preeminence. Ninety degrees, with leaves changing color and falling. The Old Man walked a trail in the Woods. The silence of the Woods is inspiring. I listened to a podcast this morning that mentioned many of our leaders focus on brick and mortar rather than an Orca. To spend time with nature is to appreciate it. Nature is bigger than us. Our finest architecture pales in comparison to nature’s majesty.

Autumn is almost here. Cooler weather, sweaters, pumpkins, pumpkin spice. The Cubs hope for a Wild Card. Many of us do the same. ‘Put me in, coach; I’m ready to play today.’ We have a lot to offer even if no one seems to notice. We have a bit of Walter Mitty in us. We dream the impossible dream and then go achieve it.

‘We are inside a miracle,’ Neva J said. ‘If we were on the outside looking in at ourselves, envy would be our emotion,’ Neva J continued. ‘We choose mediocrity when we could soar on eagles’ wings,’ Neva J proclaimed. ‘Missions are before us daily as we twiddle our thumbs,’ Neva J noted. ‘The homeless lie on the sidewalk and we step around them,’ Neva J mused. ‘We are bored because we want the needs of Heaven to walk with us every step,’ Neva J expounded.
‘Guardian Angel showed me the plan for my life; I was forlorn how much I had varied from my God-given talents,’ the Old Man said. ‘Opportunities missed without knowing,’ the Old Man continued. ‘
We must step out of ourselves to see ourselves,’ the Old Man reflected.

‘Living in a miracle sphere is fun,’ Jane said. ‘Our universe space is without end and mostly cold and not inhabitable,’ Jane continued. ‘Yet we live in a controlled environment of possibilities,’ Jane noted. ‘We are a test others are watching, waiting to see what we will do, how we react, who we love, who we hate,’ Jane said, smiling. ‘We must play our parts on the stage of life well,’ Jane said, laughing. ‘We are the Test of All Time,’ Jane whispered.
